Submission Terms

Your work stays yours.

You retain ownership of the original stories, drawings, and other work you submit to Imperfect Idea. Submitting your work does not transfer ownership to Imperfect Idea.

Only submit work you have the right to share.

Please submit only work you created yourself or work that you otherwise have permission to publish. You are responsible for making sure your submission does not violate another person's copyright or other rights.

Permission to display your work.

By submitting work, you give Imperfect Idea permission to store, display, and reproduce it as necessary to operate the site, including displaying it in listings, previews, discovery sections, and other areas of Imperfect Idea. This permission does not transfer ownership of your work.

Keep it yours. Keep it imperfect.

All imperfect ideas are welcome—as long as they're yours to share.

And don't worry. Submitting your imperfect idea won't make it perfect.

Community Principles

Imperfect Idea is a place for people to create, share ideas, and spend time with others. We want it to remain welcoming, interesting, and respectful.

Respect for Everyone

Imperfect Idea is intended to be a welcoming place to create, share, and spend time with others. Hate speech, harassment, discriminatory content, political propaganda or campaigning, and content intended to attack, intimidate, or demean others are not welcome. Using Imperfect Idea to promote political candidates, parties, movements, or causes is also not permitted.

Administrators may remove comments, messages, artwork, writing, or other content that we believe violates these principles or is disruptive to the community. Reports from other members may also be considered when reviewing content.

We ask everyone to treat other people with respect, even when you disagree with them.

If you see something you believe violates these principles, please contact us using the existing Feedback & Support form linked from the site footer.
